On Sunday, 24 March we celebrate the brilliant event of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey and citizens welcomed Him into the city by waving palm branches. This occasion also begins Holy Week, one of the most important periods in the Christian calendar, as this time is used to prepare ourselves for the incredible gift of Easter.
St. Oswald’s Church will also be celebrating Palm Sunday — even with a donkey (horse)! Come along to meet outside the church at 10:00am on 24 March where we will make a loop around Bidston village, proclaiming Hosanna! Blessed is He! We will finish our loop at 10:30am in preparation to enter the church for a special Palm Sunday service.
We welcome families and friends to come and celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry with a celebration of our own!
