St. Oswald’s Development!

We are so incredibly grateful to share some incredible news: St. Oswald’s Church has received funding from the National Lottery Awards for All to completely upgrade our much-needed (and rather faulty!) sound system.

This support means we can continue serving the local community with clear, high-quality sound, ensuring that everything we provide is the very best it can be. The upgrade will make a real difference to Sunday services, weddings, funerals, baptisms, school concerts, and venue hire alike.

Work to start very soon but we would like to extend such grateful thanks to the National Lottery for this incredible opportunity!

START Course

Beginning Thursday, 23 October at 7:30pm, we will be launching a brand new introduction to Christianity called the START Course. Running for 6 weeks, this will be a great way to explore the basics of the Christian faith and ask any questions you might have about it.

If you’re interested in attending, please get in touch with Rev. Joe — we’d love to have you come along. See you there!

An incredibly exciting journey is just around the corner for St. Oswald’s and its community. Beginning on the 19th October, we will be beginning an whole church discipleship adventure to help us get a better idea of not only who Jesus was, but how we can embody his teachings in everyday life today.

Please come and join us as we learn, listen, and share this brilliant series. We cannot wait to see you there!

Archdeacon’s Visitation

On Monday, 10 June at 7:30pm, there is the Archdeacon’s Visitation service at
St. Michael and All Angels Church in Macclesfield. This event is to swear in our wardens and sides-persons to their duties in the church. If you fill one of these roles, it’s really important that you attend this event. Anyone is welcome to come along and support our brilliant team!

Please be aware that it would be wise to familiarise yourself with parking arrangements for this service. Cheshire East council will soon be implementing evening and weekend charges and this can impact available spaces around the church. We have been informed that a parking attendant will be available outside of the church for those who need some direction.

We look forward to seeing you there!
