To kick off our brand new Youth Fellowship, we’re going to go bowling!
This Tuesday, 4 February, 2025, we’ll be heading over to New Brighton’s bowling alley at 6:30pm for a laugh, a chat, and a start to our new group. If you know of anyone between the ages of 11-16 who’d like to hang out and meet new friends, do get in touch with us, we’d love to see you there!

We are so excited to launch our Youth Fellowship, here at St. Oswald’s.
Open to 11-16 year olds, come and join us every Tuesday evening, 6:30-8pm where we will have conversations with friends, eat pizza, and have a chance to ask deeper questions about life and God.

We are so excited to bring another of St. Oswald’s brilliant Summer Fairs to Bidston! Taking place on Saturday, 28 July, 2025 between 11-3, everyone is welcome to come and take part as we celebrate the brilliant British Summertime. With live music, fresh treats, brilliant crafts, an incredible raffle, and heaps of fun and games for the whole family, we can’t wait to see you there!

It’s nearly the time of year for our big Summer St. Oswald’s Clean-Up day! On Saturday, 14 June from 10am-2pm we will be collecting to dust, polish, and deep-clean to some good music to get our beautiful building up to it’s regular shining glory before our Summer Fair. To do so, we are looking for some volunteers to help lend a hand to complete this adventure in record time! As a nice added benefit, we’ll celebrate a successful cleaning morning with a good bacon sandwich.
We would love to have some help and look forward to seeing you there!

We have another gardening event planned for the beautification of St. Oswald’s churchyard. We will be meeting on Saturday, 6 April at 10:00 to continue sorting out the weeds after the long winter. Bring a pair of gardening gloves to get stuck in, and do get in touch with Lucy, or send us an email, if you have any questions! Looking forward to seeing you there!

We are so grateful, and are very excited to announce, that we have secured a grant from the Evolve Fund with Wirral Council! We have been given us an incredible £2000 which will go towards heating our church for all of the brilliant weekday events and groups we run at St. Oswald’s over the winter of 2024.
We’d like to thank Rev. Joe for his hard work in the application; his and everyone’s help running our table at the event this last Saturday; as well as all the help voting from our brilliant community! Thanks to you, more people can use our wonderful building and stay warm during these cold months. Thank you again!
Our Lego Church gatherings are so much fun — thank you to every one who comes out, plays, listens, and supports this fun new community event!
We’re going to continue to have these brilliant events on the first Sunday of every month, but there will be a break until the new year as there are a lot of events going on in November and December. Our next event will be on 1 February, 2026 at 4pm.
Bring your family along as we have some free play, listen to a story, build scenes, and share some snacks. At just £1 per family to join, all are welcome to come and play! Can’t wait to see you there!
We are really pleased that the first gatherings of The Lounge have gone so well and we will be having our next event on Saturday, 19 April, 2025! Continuing thence on the third Saturday of every month, all are welcome to come and join us as we sing some more contemporary worship music; hear from special guest speakers; and spend time in the presence of God together.
