Christingle at St. Oswald’s

Come young and old to celebrate the Christmas season with our annual family-friendly Christingle service! On Sunday, 7th December 2024 at 4pm, this exciting service involves a fun skit, festive music, and lots of oranges, sweets, and candles for a festive retelling of God’s love. No need to book, simply turn up, and maybe even bring along your best Christmas jumper!

Please be aware there will be candles lit so we welcome the grownups to sit close to their young people. We’d love to see you there!

Home Groups Relaunch

Our Home Group is relaunching this week on Tuesday, 1 October at 7:30pm at St. Oswald’s Church. This season, we will be learning from the Lyfe Course and engaging in some really interesting discussions together. Feel free to come along for some important learning and really good conversation — teas and coffees always on offer too!

Church Wine & Cheese Quiz Night

To help say a big ‘Thank You!’ for all the hard work, contributions, and support in the completion of our new Church kitchen, we are going to host a wine & cheese quiz night! This will take place on Saturday, 14 October at 7:00pm as a celebratory event! We do need some volunteers to help organise, create quizzes, and provide donations of wine and cheese. If you would like to help out in any way, please speak with Rev. Joe!

Please make space for this great event and we would love to have you come along! Refreshments are available and lunch plans will be communicated soon! Check back here for more information.

Coronation Community Action

King Charles III really believes in the importance of community action and to mark his coronation weekend, he has asked people to do acts of service for their communities. We, at St. Oswald’s, intend to do just that! So on the bank holiday Monday, 8 May, we will be gathering outside St. Oswald’s from 10-12 and crossing the road to do a litter pick! So come along and join us to spruce up our area, chat with some friends, and give back to our community! All are welcome to attend.
