Men’s Walk

On Saturday, 10 February, our Men’s Group are again striking out but this time, to go for a good walk.

Our lads will gather in Bidston around 12:30pm and take a drive out to Cilcain in North Wales to walk up Moel Famau, looping back around to Cilcain. The distance is 6.7 miles in total and is expected to take approximately 3.5 hours with a return back for about 6:30pm.

The views themselves from Moel Famau are brilliant and promise to be a real delight once the summit is crested. If you’re interested, please do get in touch, the men would love to have you join in!

Christingle at St. Oswald’s

Come young and old to celebrate the Christmas season with our annual family-friendly Christingle service! On Sunday, 7th December 2024 at 4pm, this exciting service involves a fun skit, festive music, and lots of oranges, sweets, and candles for a festive retelling of God’s love. No need to book, simply turn up, and maybe even bring along your best Christmas jumper!

Please be aware there will be candles lit so we welcome the grownups to sit close to their young people. We’d love to see you there!

Church Wine & Cheese Quiz Night

To help say a big ‘Thank You!’ for all the hard work, contributions, and support in the completion of our new Church kitchen, we are going to host a wine & cheese quiz night! This will take place on Saturday, 14 October at 7:00pm as a celebratory event! We do need some volunteers to help organise, create quizzes, and provide donations of wine and cheese. If you would like to help out in any way, please speak with Rev. Joe!

We are going to be diving deeper into our next steps as St. Oswald’s community and considering the question of ‘Where are we going?‘. Please make space for this great event and we would love to have you come along! Refreshments are available and lunch plans will be communicated soon! Check back here for more information.
